KTMB Double Tracking Project
1) the largest railway's signaling and telecommunication package
being awarded by the government to any single main contractor
. The scope of work covers the design, delivery, installation,
testing and commissioning of a modern railway signalling and
communication system for railway stations from Rawang to Seremban
and Sentul to Pelabuhan Klang with a total track distance
of 165 km.
2) involved in the tender preparation and technical + commercial
negotiation with KTMB.
3) attended KTMB railway safety course.
4) Head of Communication Department for KTMB's Double Tracking
Project. Contract value approximately RM 30 million. The scope
of works as follows :
- a) Train and Service Radio
Network· to coordinate the design of train and service
radio network with the radio supplier, Transmark, Jabatan
Telekom Malaysia and respective local authority.·
to supervise the erection of radio tower at 15 different
locations of 30 and 45 meters in height respectively.·
to manage radio equipment installation which includes antennas,
cabling, hardware and software.· to check radio coverage
system, testing and commissioning of train and service radio
system.· to interface of train and services radio
network to PABX system and optical transmission system.
- b) Optical Fiber Cable·
to design 165 km of fiber cable network along railway route.·
to supervise the laying, splicing, testing and commissioning
of optical fiber cable network.
- c) Optical Transmission
Network· responsible for configuration of KTMB's
digital transmission network for data and speech transmission
from Centralised Train Center in KL to 25 railway stations.
- to manage the installation,
testing and commissioning of digital transmission network
with the supervision of KTMB's consultant via optical
cable system.
- to supervise the interfacing
and integration of various KTMB's data and voice network
- d) PABX· to install,
test and commission one main PABX system in CTC and interconnecting
with other three satellite PABXes via optical transmission
system.
- to provide comprehensive
telephone billing system and digital multi-recording
devices.
- e) Signal Post Telephone
System· to install, test and commission 500 units
of emergency telephones along railway route via copper cables
with 25 nos of local control centers and one main control
conters located in CTC. The lcoal control centers is interconnecting
with the main control centers via optical transmission network.
- f) Single Earthing System·
responsible for the proposal on the design and implementation
of KTMB single earthing system with respect to 25,000 Volts
overhead electrification with the assistance of Australian
consultant.
g) Other responsibilities included :
- to seek for KTMB's
consultant, Transmark, approval on the design, installation
and testing of telecommunication and single earthing
arrangement system for railway electrification project.
- to interface and integrate
other communication system i.e. passenger information
system and ticketing system being installed by other
main contractors into optical transmission network.
Oil & Gas
1) Splicing, testing and commissioning
of submarine optical fiber cable link between offshore platforms
for Esso Production Malaysia Inc.
2) Supply, install, splicing, testing and commissioning of
optical fiber and copper cables link between Terengganu Crude
Oil Terminal and Slugcatcher in Kerteh for EPMI.
Dedicated System
1) Supply, install, splicing, testing and commissioning of
Maybank's optical fiber cable network backbone from ground
floor up to the 50th floor of Menara Maybank building.

1) Express Rail Link Project·
estimate contract value RM 2.0 billion.
- to liase with railway system
suppliers (Siemens), integrators, designers, consultants
and relevant authorities on the Express Rail Link from Kuala
Lumpur Sentral to Kuala Lumpur International Airport in
Sepang.
- to provide input of ERL's
signalling and telecommunication requirement, operation
and maintenance aspects to the main contractor.
